A charging amenity your customers actually use.
For airports and transit hubs, cafés, hotels, malls, universities and any venue that wants a station — with three ways to pay for it, including one where the station earns you a share.
Request a stationWho this is for
Airports and transit hubs, cafés and restaurants, hotels and resorts, malls and retail, universities, and any venue with footfall.
How the work splits
OctiVault provides
- Installation, maintenance and battery replenishment
- A station that appears in the app and on the network map
- A choice of commercial model: sponsor-funded, pay as you go, or pay as you go with a revenue share to you
- A private dashboard for your own station: guests served, scans, returning-guest rate, average dwell time and your busiest hours
- Settlement reporting on a revenue-share placement — what’s earned, pending and settled
You provide
- Space for the station
- Footfall and customer demand
How a station gets paid for
How a station is paid for is set per venue, not per network. We’ve run all three in production and the right one depends on your footfall, your visitors and whether a sponsor fits your brand.
- A brand pays
Sponsor-funded
A sponsor covers the rentals at your venue, and your visitors borrow at no cost to them.
An amenity you don’t fund and your visitors don’t pay for. Depends on a sponsor being signed for that venue.
- The visitor pays
Pay as you go
Visitors pay for the time they use, with a free window at the start and a daily cap so a long rental can’t run away.
The simplest way to start. Nothing to fund, no sponsor to wait for.
- The visitor pays, you take a share
Pay as you go, with a revenue share
The same metered pricing, with an agreed share of the revenue from your stations settled back to you.
The station earns rather than just occupies. Your dashboard shows what’s earned, pending and settled.
How the relationship grows
Every station starts at Basic. Moving up is optional, and priced per venue.
Basic
A working station, installed and looked after.
- A station installed, maintained and restocked by OctiVault
- Charging for your visitors, on whichever commercial model you pick
- Your venue listed in the app and on the network map
Plus
Everything in Basic, and you can see what it’s doing.
- Your own venue dashboard, scoped to your station alone
- Guests served, scans, returning-guest rate and average dwell time
- Your venue’s busiest hours, as the station actually sees them
Premium
Everything in Plus, with the station carrying your brand.
- Your own brand on the station screen and in the app
- Guaranteed placement
- Priority restocking
The practical details
- Mimic sits on any countertop; Dumbo stands freely and just needs a power outlet
- Connects over its own built-in cellular connection — your venue's Wi-Fi isn't involved
- Maintenance, battery replenishment and customer support are handled by OctiVault, not your staff
- Seasonal venue? Stations can be redeployed out of season and returned for the next one, rather than sitting dark
- Your dashboard reports counts, rates and durations only — never a customer's name, phone or identity
What this looks like in practice
An illustrative example with editable assumptions, not results from an actual client.
What each kind of venue actually gets out of it
Airports & transit hubs
A traveler waiting for a gate or a train has nowhere else to go and every reason to want charge before boarding — the longest dwell time and the highest-stakes need of any venue type.
- The highest sustained foot traffic of any venue type — people wait here for hours, not minutes
- A dead battery before boarding is a real problem, not a minor inconvenience — the amenity sells itself
- The same captive audience advertisers already pay to reach — a natural fit for the sponsorship model
Cafés & restaurants
A station near the till or by the seating area gives people a reason to settle in rather than leave to find a charger.
- Longer dwell time, which usually means a second order
- A visible amenity you can list on your own profile and menus
- No power draw worth measuring and no staff training
Hotels & resorts
Guests take a power bank to the beach, the pool or an excursion and return it at reception — or at any other OctiVault station.
- Removes a recurring front-desk request
- Works across the property, not just where the sockets are
- Sponsored placement is available, so it can be free to your guests
Malls & retail
A dead phone ends a shopping trip. Stations at entrances and food courts keep people moving through the space instead of heading home.
- Higher footfall retention at the hours that matter most
- A service tenants can point their own customers to
- Placement data showing which entrances actually get used
Offices & workplaces
Staff, visitors and everyone in for a meeting arrive with whatever charge they woke up with. A station in reception or by the meeting rooms covers all three without another drawer of tangled cables.
- Covers staff and visitors from one place, instead of a shared cable nobody returns
- Reception stops being asked for a charger several times a day
- Works for co-working floors too, where the people changing daily are the whole point
Universities
Students are on campus for eight hours with a phone that lasts five. Stations in libraries and student centres cover the gap.
- Serves a dense, repeat-use population
- No sockets to install and no cables to replace
- Sponsorship can make it free at the point of use
